We are Daniel and Juan, two native Spanish teachers who have been offering gay-friendly Spanish lessons to the LGBTQ+ community for many years. In addition to being life partners for over 20 years, we both hold university degrees in teaching Spanish as a second language. We’ve taught thousands of international students around the world for more than 22 years!
We both have extensive experience working in some of the most renowned Spanish schools worldwide. As a result, we’ve taught students from many different backgrounds — race, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, and more.
These personal, professional, and life experiences — including our identity and orientation — have shaped us into the teachers we are today. That’s why we wholeheartedly embrace diversity and respect through our LGBTQ+ / gay-friendly Spanish lessons from Spain.
Our LGBTQ+ community is a fundamental part of who we are. It deeply influences the way we teach and how we see the world — always with care, tolerance, and understanding.
Offering gay-friendly / LGBTQ+ Spanish lessons is something we take very seriously. We believe teaching is not only about having a solid knowledge of the Spanish language, but also about being sensitive and committed to our students’ needs and goals.
This is why empathy is absolutely essential. It helps us create a judgment-free learning environment where students feel safe and free to speak, while learning Spanish in an atmosphere that constantly promotes inclusion and integration.
A big part of our teaching method as LGBTQ+ / gay-friendly Spanish teachers is based on a good dose of humour and genuine understanding!
Spain is currently one of the most liberal and LGBTQ+-friendly countries in the world. As proud members of this community, we do our part by promoting visibility, inclusion, and respect for everyone’s rights through our work.
